Fascinating stay in wonderful accomodation.

Liked: Our stay here was an absolute delight. Audrey is such an incredible woman and is utterly fascinating to talk to. The accommodation and breakfast was of a very high standard, and even the crockery was beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't have wanted for anything. Highly recommend.
Disliked: Nothing. we will return.

Very enjoyable stay

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, one of the best we have ever had. Beautiful breakfast room and laid out lovely. The breakfast was delicious. The fire was on in the lounge which was lovely and warm when we entered.
Disliked: The bed was a little soft for our liking.

Liked: Immaculately clean, crockery for breakfast was outstanding. Host Audrey was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much. Would definitely recommend staying at melody house

A nice little B&B

Liked: Breakfast was delicious - especially the sausages.The room was very clean and tidy and the tea/coffee facilities were good.
Disliked: A reading lamp is needed. I had to put both room lamps on one side of the bed to be able to read.Whilst it was good to have fresh milk, the fridge kept me awake as it kept turning off and on - noisily - all night.The pillows were too thin and soft.

Liked: Hosts very friendly. Accommodation spotless. Best and hottest breakfast I have ever had in any establishment. Very quiet. Bed and pillows really comfortable . Spotless white linen.

This was my third stay...

Liked: this is a quaint place and the people who run it are charming . The rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast is served on English Roses china. The rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. They offer occasional evening meals, or you can bring in a take away and eat it in the bar area. I like the little fridge with fresh milk and the crystal glasses in the room. Its a quiet location except when the locals are in the bar.
Disliked: I've stayed here before, but this time Evelyn seemed a bit distracted. My friend and I both had hard poached eggs at breakfast whereas the breakfast is normally exceptional. On a Saturday evening the locals use the bar and it can be a bit noisy in the rooms, but it gets quieter after 9pm.
