Extremely disappointing.

Disliked: The hotel has a very simple dark reception and lobby, no bar where you can buy drinks/snacks and relax, which we found odd compared to pretty much any other hotel we’ve stayed in.Only if you pay for a premium rooms (which we had paid for 3 rooms in) on the level do you have access to a self service type of bar and area to relax in, but no substantial food, just buffet cold food options really, nuts, crisps and sweets!The level area stops any buffet food at 8pm and closes entirely promptly at 9. After which you have option to go out or to your room. Note: Our hotel room had no air con (many many guests we met in the hotel were complaining about this - so far from just us being picky, it was a real issue and management justified it by saying it’s not necessary at the time of year we were there. 1. It’s on your website and therefore expected. 2. You were receiving many customer complaints about this so something guests generally wanted and expected.Our mini bar was room temperature, which was annoying because we like chilled water. On complaining I was fobbed off. But that’s a very small point in the big scheme of things.For the price we paid to stay in this supposed hotel, we strongly feel it was not worth it for the device and facilities that were severely lacking. If I had known we would have air conditioning in a soulless hotel that effectively closes 8-9pm! we would absolutely have stayed elsewhere and we have access to The Level (the hotels supposed best offering!).

Liked: The air conditioning was turned off for the whole hotel, which was only found out once we complained. We were told it’s the “time of year” however that’s not good enough when it’s advertised on booking.com as having air conditioning.

Amazing stay in central Granada!

Liked: We loved the Meliá! The staff were amazing, Amor and Alexandra couldn’t do enough for us, their knowledge was great and they were full of suggestions, humour and humanity. The location was very central with easy access to lovely bars, restaurants and all the sights. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, the view of the Al Hambra was a huge bonus. I also very much appreciated the birthday cake and booze! We’ll be back for sure.

Good location and staff, the...

Liked: The location was good. The staff was great. The rooms were good and very clean. They also have a great upper level restaurant/cafe with an amazing view and descent prices.
Disliked: Some rooms don’t have views or light which was never indicated in the photos. It can be feel depressing when you are in Spain and can’t see the sun or sky from your room. Even worst, you will face a wall with windows from another building with no privacy at all. We spent most of our time outside so it wasn’t too much of a problem but if we knew what it would be we would have booked in another hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the center...

Liked: We always choose location first. Thats why we choose Melia. Lots of restaurant & shop nearby. Easily access with car. The breakfast was also good.

Very central. Close to all...

Liked: Very central location, clean, modern finish and in great condition. Surrounded by bars and restaurants and shops. Nice buffet breakfast. No English language channels on TV and no streaming capabilities. Reception staff very slow and quite miserable. Car park next to hotel is cheap at €22 for almost 24hrs but is extremely tight for anyone in a large vehicle.

Great hotel, great location!

Liked: Loved the room and the hotel. Very nice interior design, amazing location and lovely breakfast with the view on the top floor. Also, the people working there were very nice and efficient. Would recommend.
Disliked: Maybe the fact that bathroom has a huge window in front of the toilet seat but hopefully it is not seethrough

Liked: Toilet paper was very cheap for the price of hotel. We did not want one but had a conjoined room where it was clear there were kids through the door. This ruined our romantic experience as we did not want to be disrespectful to the children. Not soundproof at all
