Disliked: The facilities can benefit from a facelift. Some of the room fixtures were broken. Having just arrived from the Lisboa Mélia Airport, the contrast between the two hotels was like day and night.

A Stay with Mixed Feelings...

Liked: Our recent stay at this Madrid hotel left us with a bittersweet taste. It's undeniable that the location is excellent, allowing us easy access to the city's main points of interest. However, several aspects tarnished the experience.Firstly, the absence of the swimming pool was a major disappointment. When making the booking, the website clearly indicated the availability of this service, and upon arrival, we found that it was out of use for renovation. This lack of prior information is unacceptable and negatively affected our expectations of relaxation during the trip.Another negative point was the lack of basic amenities in the room, such as a simple kettle to make a coffee or tea. This detail, which we consider fundamental for many travelers, was noticeably absent.Furthermore, the friendliness of the reception staff left much to be desired. In general, the receptionists were rather unhelpful and unresponsive to our inquiries. A particularly frustrating detail was witnessing a guest before us being offered a 2-for-1 breakfast promotion, while when we asked about the same option, we were given a different rate. This lack of consistency and transparency creates a feeling of unequal and unfair treatment.However, it is fair to highlight that the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The room and common areas were in perfect condition, which is a significant plus.
