Nice destination but beware.

Liked: The hotel is beautiful and located by the beach. We were booked for two nights and both nights the racket from private parties was unbearable. We had to change rooms to try and avoid the noise of loud music . The hotel admitted that it was a bad choice but the damage was done. If you intend to book there check that a party isn’t scheduled for your stay. A compensation was given but we left tired for our next day drive.

Disliked: Below are the reasons for my early departure and dissatisfaction:- Room lacked basic amenities, including:No robes, iron, or tea/coffee kettle despite being advertised as a 5-star hotel.No free bottled water in the room, no cotton swabsOnly bar soap instead of liquid soap, which is uncommon in high - end hotelsNo iron or bathrobe - had to request them from receptionOnly one access card for 2 guests, need to request additional one.Misleading pool facilities:- Pool water was not heated, despite it being advertised as heated on Booking.com.- No working jacuzzi or hot tub despite expectations.- It's more like wedding facilities than holiday stay, seasonal one which is not mentioned, for a winter tem everything is limited or closed around.- No transfer services or excursions available at reception, which is unusual for a 5-star hotel.- No welcome guide or informational materials:Had to manually note mealtimes as no schedule was provided.No brochures for spa, solarium, or massage services.- Disappointing breakfast options:Very limited variety, no pancakes etc. not 5 stars one as expected.- Hotel looked outdated, including rooms and exterior.- Mould in the bathroom, poor drainage, and flooding due to misplaced fixtures.- No car rental options offered.- Weak WiFi signal in the room ( 2 bars from 5).- Fridge was overstocked with overpriced drinks, leaving no space for personal use.- It is not beach front- Middle of nowhere where most shops are closed for a the winter time so you can not trust google maps, coming around 2 pm you need to wait by 6 until pizzeria is open.- We had deluxe room, rooms looks damaged, balcony window handle was damaged and need to use much force to close it or open.Most important it's 3, maybe 4 star hotel, not even near 5 stars.

Liked: We were impressed by the hotel itself and its grounds. We stayed for just one night on our way to Sicily, so I can’t evaluate it from a summer vacationer’s perspective. However, we were very satisfied with the service, the room, the restaurant, and the opportunity to enjoy the beautifully maintained pool area. It was the off-season, and we enjoyed the tranquility and the exceptional attention from the staff – both in the restaurant and room service. The room was spacious enough, the beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. There was an event with many guests during our stay, but we experienced no inconvenience as it was held in a separate hall.
Disliked: The bathroom could use some updating. I understand the intention to make an impression with mirrors and decor, but I would recommend opting for materials that are more resistant to moisture and easier to maintain cleanliness.You won't easily find a parking spot, even during the off-season! The restaurant prices are quite high, but the breakfast is excellent. I was also disappointed with the pricing policy for pets. Regardless of whether you stay one night or ten, the cost remains the same – 30 euros.

Liked: The hotel exceeds all spectations. Starting by the team, composed by excelent people that provides all assistance to guests. The restaurant and breakfast are five stars. The hotel offers a free parking and a shining infra structure. The rooms with sea view are fantastic, including a balcon. The old city greek of Poseidonia is not so far and complete the program.
Disliked: Despite the sea view, the beach is not fair and as other italian small cities, Praestum has a bad public transportation system.
