Unaceptable and discraceful service.

Disliked: The room had a very bad smell of damp and drains.When we complained to the manager, he said he will check into it and sort it out and if not he would move us to another room.We never heard from the nanager again nor dud any of the staff mention anything We had the impression that the staff knew of the problem before we checked in and that it is an ongoing problem but they all pretended not to know.Disgraceful approach!!!Do not stay at this hotel!!!!

Shockingly bad

Liked: I didn't like any of it. Maybe the breakfast was okay and the staff there were friendly enough.
Disliked: Where do I start. It's like a basic Ibis or Holiday Inn, but 4x the price (EUR330 per night). I had paid for a room with a view over the main plaza, which I got (I had been to Madrid before and I liked the plaza and it's life). But the hotel failed to tell me at any time before arrival that the whole massive square was a building site, which was both unattractive to look at and had audible digging and construction. In order to run a bath I took me an hour trying to work out how to do it, even asking reception on the phone how to do it. Each time I got my sleeve soaked as the water came out only through the shower head, or had jets gushing from the walls. Eventually a maintenance man came up and looked at me incredulously when I asked how to run a bath. After several demonstrations and both the water dial and leaver for the plug coming off in his hands, as it had done to me previously, I was told you run the bath through the shower head. Madness! As was the ironing board: The iron had such a short length of flex, as it was attached to the board, that you cannot plug it into the most logical socket below the TV, but only next to the bed area, and then there's not enough space between the wall and the bed for you and the ironing board to stand up together, so you have to iron sitting down. And then to empty the iron of water after use and put the thing away, you have to take both the board and iron around the bed (from the only place you could plug in) and into the bathroom and tip the iron into the sink or bath, whilst holding the board. Oh, and the pointless HIFI amplifier in the closet that does nothing, as DVDs and CD players are old school (and not connected) and the pointless switch which said 'Hey you sexy thing': I pressed it in the hope of something exciting to happen - the lights dimmed slightly into 'sexy' mode.

Wonderful night

Liked: First of all thank to the people in charge of the web page our request was answered with promptness, and in a very helpful and professional manner. The hospitality of the hotel staff, the cleanliness of the room and the awesome rooftop we love it all. We may advise for the reception to promote the areas of the hotel including hours of services with breakfast, rooftop or any other amenity. The lady was very friendly and offer the breakfast but with no specific details of hour and place of been served in the hotel. The security people very attentive and in in the rooftop very friendly. I have to say that when I visit Madrid in a future this will definitely will be my hotel.

Our regular hotel.but some problems...

Liked: Location, staff
Disliked: The hotel starts to show its age. Breakfast is not as good as it once was. Rooms’ insulation is not good. And the works in the piazza Santa ana were noisy (but expected to finish shortly).

Bad room.hotel ok

Disliked: the room was really small.I can not imagine smaller room.Iexplain the to management but nothing to do.I thing the BOOKİNG.COM reservation merite bad rooms.I will really think for my next trip.ThanksKoray çıtak

Perfect place to stay in

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The hotel's facilities were great, and the room design was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. I had a wonderful experience overall.
Disliked: They offered me an upgrade ( for 40 Euro per day ) to a room with a view of the square, and I accepted. However, I was surprised to find out that the square was under maintenance
