Large rooms, fun pool and...

Liked: Variety of restaurants and bars, both on site and within walking distance. Fun pool: large, salt water, heated, jungle decor, robes provided. Local history charmingly displayed, as in all McMenamins properties.
Disliked: All good really. Tiny quibble: coffee in lobby a bit on the lukewarm side by 9 am

Disliked: We were told the hotel was dog friendly, however we were unable to bring our Emotional Support Animal into facility beside our room. We spent more time outdoors (under heaters) then we were prepared for.

Very poor

Disliked: The night of November 18th was miserable, dark and cold. While I understand the wide spread power outages caused all kinds of problems, the facility appears to be very ill equipped to handle any type of power outages. A flashlight in the room doesn't make for much of a backup plan. To pay $200.00 for no light, no heat, no TV, no phone and no hot water was not a welcome bill the next day. I should have thought that, at least staff could have checked on guests during the long evening and night to insure there welfare.

This is my fave hotel...

Liked: You can really tell the owners and mgmt take pride in their work. Huge spacious an clean rooms with 14’ ceilings. Giant windows overlooking gardens. Tons of food and entertainment options.
Disliked: You can hear people walking above you if you have a lower level room.

Very good

Liked: Staying at McMenamin’s for a night was comfortable, convenient, and gave my partner and I time to explore a couple of the bars and restaurants. There are a lot of amenities here and I could see myself going back and enjoying the experience differently.
Disliked: There was nowhere to store our leftovers from dinner. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in our room which is usually standard for hotel rooms of that size and price range.
