Liked: Friendly hotel and helpful staff. Lovely vintage character, good location. Comfortable bed. Useful fridge and microwave. Modest breakfast included but sufficient. Good location. Staff helpful with check in time.
Disliked: Kettle and / coffee machine in room would be good.

Liked: Old fashioned charming hotel, staff are friendly, check in early and check out late....at no extra cost. Appreciated proper crockery and cutlery! Felt safe.
Disliked: Distance from waterfront but close to Union Square and China Town.

Great location and a great...

Liked: The location is central to everything. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The building has some character being an older facility. The cost was very reasonable relative to San Francisco in general.
Disliked: Not much. This doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles such as a gym, pool, bar etc, but I knew that going in. We were looking for a nice not super expensive hotel for seeing the city, and this did the job.

Pleasant

Liked: Is an old hotel but was comfortable - rooms were a good size. In a good location. Continental breakfast included was a bonus. Some great pubs in the area - the Last drop tavern & the Sutter pub. 8 minute walk to Union square
Disliked: Nothing in particular. Was reasonable value for money being probably a 3 star hotel.

Amazing! Only issue is AC....

Liked: I loved the vibe and i loved the vintage feel the historical essence of the establishment. Very cute and cozy.
Disliked: No AC

Liked: The hotel was an older style hotel with some charming touches. The lift has the old metal gates and the property is decorated with some nice paintings. The lobby had beautiful flowering orchids and was very comfortable. The rooms were large and had plenty of space for storage. Location was good, public transport was close by and the historic cable cars only a few blocks away.
Disliked: The breakfast was very basic, not a lot of choice of foods available. Our room had a kitchenette but no cooking utensils or any way to wash up if you did use the glasses or cups. And the bathroom only had one complimentary toiletry dispenser, located in the shower and nothing at the hand basin. We felt that it was a lot more budget than the price we paid.
