Disappointment

Disliked: My husband, our 6-year-old child, and I traveled with our family to visit relatives across the Czech Republic. As we are not familiar with local accommodations, I selected a room for two adults and one child through Booking.com after discovering the Maximus Resort on Instagram. I did not review the images on Booking.com again before booking. I specified our child's age and was attracted to the listing because it prominently featured amenities, including a pool. I have attached a screenshot for reference. However, upon arrival, we discovered that children under 145 cm were not allowed in the wellness area. Additionally, the wellness staff informed us that access to the pool was not included in our booking and would incur an extra charge. I was confident that the pool was listed as part of the amenities when I booked, and I took a screenshot as proof. Interestingly, the pool icon was removed from the Booking.com listing the next day, which I found misleading and unprofessional.Upon reviewing the email correspondence from Booking.com, I noticed that in the fourth email from Maximus Resort, there was a note at the bottom mentioning that certain amenities required additional fees and that children under 145 cm were not allowed. However, this information was presented alongside offers for bike rentals and dining, which I mistakenly dismissed as promotional content. Our experience with the wellness center staff was highly disappointing. When we inquired about the situation, the staff laughed in our faces, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. At one point, a wellness employee even asked my husband if I was his girlfriend or wife, which was inappropriate and offensive. My husband promptly corrected her, noting that such remarks were out of line, especially when she had no basis for such assumptions. When we escalated the issue to the manager, she merely repeated the same information with a smile, which only added to our frustration.

Disappointed
Liked: Good:+ wi-fi+ wellness+ food in the restaurantBad::- extremely noisy room 109. Maybe wellness technologies, but very annoying- hotel staff not willing or trained to solve such an issue, either offer another room or discount.- mattraces and pillows not good. We were a group of 8 and none of us liked it- breakfast very basic. Nothing compared to similar hotels in Hungary for example- TV channels breaking up, poor signal or something- smartlike waiters laighing at me when l politely asked for some local czech food that was not on menu- overmotivated pool staff that ran across the indoor pool area while l was taking my shirt off just to tell that l must take the shirt off. Really?- Garden area very small with difficult access- prygl beaches not very inviting. At the end, none of us swam in Prygl. This may be out of direct control of the hotel. But lm sure if more hotels coordinated activities, they could make it better
