Disliked: The room is too small.Entrance below all expectations, not even signs for hotel, only small button on intercom. Inside the room is nothing, no phone, no toiletries, and no even shampoo. Be prepared to take everything with you. When I booked through Booking.com and got confirmation, it was clear 2 rooms for 4 people ,but when I came to the hotel, they said it's booked for only 1 person in a room. What a surprise, and first, they asked for extra charge in no friendly manner. After a long dispute with reception, we got our rooms and lived disputes for management . It's not a pleasant situation when you come to a 4-star hotel. Will not recommend it to anyone .

Excellent facilities and location in...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location in the Galleria Umberto. It’s easy to walk to many bars, restaurants and sights.The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with good amenities.The staff are very welcoming and friendly.The breakfast is excellent and the staff are very attentive.
Disliked: It’s a little bit noisy in the evening from people in the galleria below and from the streets outside.

Magnificent Matilde!

Liked: This was a special trip to celebrate two landmark birthdays - the hotel more than met our expectations. Friendly staff, great location and comfortable room.
Disliked: Not a fault of the hotel but at times there could be a bit of noise from the shopping arcade downstairs. It wasn't too distracting though

A comfortable and conveniently-located place.

Liked: The staff was exceptionally gracious and helpful. The rooms were very modern, chic, and comfortable. Everything seemed brand new. The breakfast was lovely. The location is very convenient---close to the main funicular and the subway. On a very lively (i.e. crowded) shopping street.
Disliked: A bit difficult to find, and the entrance might put some people off---it's on the second floor of an old building and the ground floor is certainly not glamourous. The rooms, which are very pretty, overlook the Galleria, so if you are as sensitive to noise as I am, you might want to bring a pair of earplugs with you.
