I will never stay in...

Liked: The location is on the main road into town, a short walk to the train station and across the street in a 24 hr Hungry Tum mini mart. Free undercover parking. The Manager Dan is a very helpful man, he left our key in a safe box and sends the code by text.
Disliked: The rooms shown in the photos is not what we were given. We found the cleaners long hair strands in the room, and on the white tiled bathroom floor (disgraceful). Also the mini fridge has rust and mould at the base. The chair in the corner had no cushion so you sit on the timber base. No clothing or baggage storage. This room had not been cleaned in my view and the manager should be checking his rooms. Under the double bed (we booked a queen room) I found dust and hair, the floors were not mopped or hygienic for public use. I will NOT pay top $$$ to say at the Matilda Motel again. I had booked for 2 nights but the 1 night was enough. I rang the Charm City Motel the Mngr Deb she had clean rooms and we stayed with her on her just 1km on the same road, and the difference was a real relief. I have asked booking.com to arrange a refund for the unused night. Many things in the room made you feel like "What have I paid for after driving 4.5hrs from Brisbane.
