Not sure if I would...
Liked: The scenery. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Took a bit of time to find reception entrance on arrival. No real clear directions when driving in. Didn’t matter which part of the bedroom you walked across the floorboards creaked, and dresser seemed to rattle when you walked past it. Could not get shower handle to move and when we did the handle fell off, once got it working it was very very hot. Had to switch it off and take a bath instead. Could not get cold water tap to turn on fully, so there was only a little water slowly coming out. Breakfast was warm not hot. Plates were not warm/hot so that didn’t help to keep breakfast hot.

A comfortable, cosy, country hotel...
Liked: Delicious breakfast and dinner. Attentive, kind staff.
Disliked: Car park and reception are poorly lit for late arrivals of guests who are unfamiliar with the hotel

Disappointed. Food horrible.
Liked: The hotel its self is nice. Welcoming, room was okay, nothing special, especially being £274 for two nights. Especially when paying for a room that is supposed to come with free WiFi and couldn’t use the tv as the issue couldn’t be solved on a weekend?
Disliked: The food was absolutely disgusting. We had the Valentine’s Day dinner on the 14th (first night) which consisted of a sharing board, where the salmon was gray at the bottom, the meats were dry, and the bread was stale. Then followed with the steaks, we both had fillet, the fillet was chewy, fatty, I asked for a medium rare, was more like well done, my partner had asked for well done, and we would have said both were well done, and not enjoyable, the steaks had been grilled… the mushroom was greasy and burnt, and the tomato was the driest tomato going, the chips were cold as cold could be. On the second night, we both had the graces highland burger, and again was very disappointed, there was two burger patties in it, which seemed as if they had been bought from the same provider as McDonald’s or Burger King, was not worth £19 each. Overall was disappointing. The internet wasn’t working on the tv either, we raised this with reception, and they told us, there was nothing they could do as it was a maintenance issue? We are paying for a room that comes with free WiFi? But the free WiFi doesn’t work? Odd. There was a stain on the bedding, considering I did work in housekeeping, this wasn’t the greatest. Not impressed, was nice to get a way for a few nights to celebrate valentines, but wouldn’t rush back unless there was one a better chef, and for two it was going to be better value for money.
