High times

Liked: area riverside garden
Disliked: high bed could've done with a step to get into itFrench doors didn't lock properly. Wasn't able to lock from outside either

We enjoyed our stay it...

Liked: The location is lovely as is the majority of staff with only one exception. The room is very comfortable as is the bed and it is very clean. I found the duvet a little heavy for me but I have arthritis so it’s a thing that can’t be helped.
Disliked: Breakfast took a long time and my son had a meeting to attend. The morning receptionist remarked that we must have asked for something more complicated, that wasn’t the case.

Beautiful hotel (could be more...

Liked: Maryculter House is beautiful - the building is amazing, food delicious and riverside location incredible. The only downside is that it isn't as dog-friendly as other hotels in Aberdeenshire. Dogs aren't allowed in any of the dining rooms and only in their own bedroom. We found it a bit limiting.

Lovely location and hotel for...

Liked: Breakfast was exceptional, the room was clean with a lovely view and the grounds were lovely and well kept, easy to find the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: more choice maybe on the room service menu but that would be the only change I would make

Great pet friendly hotel in...

Liked: Great pet friendly hotel in fantastic location on river Dee, great helpful staff, great food, good well appointed room, this was our 5th visit & we will be back. It is ideal for us with our two small dogs with grounds & access to a short river walk directly from the hotel
Disliked: Pillows are a bit hard for our liking so we bring our own, window difficult to open wide due to curtain pelmet which may be more of an issue in a hot summer, but these are minor points
