Overpriced and underwhelming

Liked: Great location, rooms were quiet, bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Check in process took ages (at least 10 min per person) and the staff were unhelpful (two people behind reception working together to check in one guest, not even acknowledging my presence for 15 minutes). Breakfast was understaffed, meaning they were constantly out of food, had to wait ages for tables to be cleared and food to be restocked. Room was average - felt more like a three star hotel than the advertised four star hotel. Towels scratchy, “Hair/Body Wash” in shower rather than proper shampoo and shower gel. Very basic furniture. Reminded me of an Ibis. A decent hotel but not worth the €175 I paid for the r room.

Amazing room but too much...

Liked: Certainly a different experience but loved it. Cleverly converted into a hotel. Having a bedroom with stained glass was a hit & has left us with a special memory. Huge array at breakfast & again a wonderful setting but see comments in what I didn’t like.
Disliked: The queuing & battle to sit at breakfast marred the experience as did the huge queue to check out, especially when everything had been paid for & all we were doing was returning the key. At breakfast there were insufficient seats with no staff assisting the queue. It all seemed a bit chaotic. Maybe it would have helped for guests to choose a time for breakfast rather than having some 20 people standing waiting for others to finish.

Disliked: Personal was not friendly. I had birthday during the stay and nothing… For check out we aslo needed to wait for 10 mins (we were second)

Original Hotel in a good...

Liked: Central location. V good breakfast Unique decor. Comfy bed. I’m allergic to carpets, and we were very lucky to be able to change room. They have only two rooms without carpet. V grateful for that.
Disliked: Old Carpets all over. Dark rooms. Outdated and needs refurbishing. Room wasn’t ready at 16:00, but check out was at 11:00.
