Sort of a bargain but...

Liked: The staff a quite nice including the lovely cleaning staff.
Disliked: The air conditioning is so bad. If you’re after a cool room this summer don’t stay here. I suspect it’s a systemic issue with the cooling system, which they clearly can’t fix with major refab. Otherwise they would.Also the hotel within a hotel thing is a bit clunky. They should really rent a reception on the main lobby of Sofitel. You can only access the staff in person with a key or via calling them from the lobby of the Sofitel. We are avid travellers and appreciated the size of the room and access to Sofitel amenities for the price but the air con was the deal breaker in a hot summer. You can do the same on price in a similar location but with the less clunky service and wayyy better air quality.But we appreciate the hard working staff. Ventilation system not their fault! Owner needs to address this if they want a long term thriving business

Liked: Location was great, quiet at night. Staff friendly and room was excellent.
Disliked: Had to park car at downtown, on-site park was full and more expensive then downtown. 5-10min walk.

A bit misleading

Liked: Comfy bed, Handy location and great bath
Disliked: Tiny balconies, no privacy, marina view was not real, it looked into a courtyard.

Lovely location, handy to restaurants/shops....

Liked: The location looking over the viaduct was beautiful.Entrance in lobby area welcoming and very attractive, staff friendly.
Disliked: In room 411 the kitchen tap needs a little maintenance as the handle is coming away from the main tap. I did notice the freezer ice box did need defrosting as ice build up so thick you wouldn't be able to put anything in it.
