Liked: A great place to relax, next to the beach, large swimming pool. The staff is very polite and helps with everything. We were very pleased to stay there)

A literary getaway in paradise!

Liked: The service of the offsite restaurant was wonderful and the waiter that I’d like to complement with Sam.

Bad

Disliked: They canceled the stay due to the hurricane which is understandable however, I have not been reimbursed for the money I paid for the reservation.

Disliked: If you want a dirty bed and sheets to lay in and broken faucets and your peep hole to be blacked out, also house keeping coming in seeing you naked this is the perfect place for you! Do not bring you children here, there are perverted staff here. A man from housekeeping came in my room and saw me naked and I shut him out and he proceeded to try to come back in. Thank god my Boyfriend was there to tell this man he better get away from our room. The staff was very unapologetic! STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Everything is overpriced and under...

Liked: This place was horrible. We were here for a wedding and that’s the only reason we stayed here more than one night. Everything went wrong- the power was out for 12 hours, we were attacked by bees, eaten apart by sand gnats and charged for parking when we didn’t even have a car. Before the power went out, none of the tvs worked. You had to call for a shuttle from Captiva to the main tower. The van smelled musty and like the basement flooring in a bar. I have never been covered in so many bug bites. Worst part- they never comped us anything or gave us any sympathy.
Disliked: Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.

Liked: location was great and so was the food at the tarpon.
Disliked: I didn't like that I didn't have a shower head when I arrived and the next day there was no electricity till about 2:30 pm

I loved the location and...

Liked: Restaurants and staff were great. Lovely location. Gym was not properly equipped. 5-lb weights missing and only 1 8-lb. weight. Not ok! Also was charged a "resort fee" for high-speed internet. What a joke!!! Netflix wouldn't even work the internet connection was sooooo slow. Just kept looking at the spinning icon while it was buffering. Trying to work was challenging at best. When you are promised high-speed internet? You should deliver!! Not acceptable. If you can't provide it? Then you should waive the resort fee. On the night I arrived (I got in late) parking garage next to the hotel was full and only parking available was a LOOOONG walk from the hotel in the dark (I'm single - not wild about walking that far alone in the dark!). I had to pay $30 for valet that night.
Disliked: Internet speed and having Netflix actually work on the TV in my room! Also need a FULL set of weights in the gym. Most women use 5-8 lb. weights to workout.
