Disliked: Subject: Complaint Regarding Disrupted Stay and Unacceptable Resolution at Marriott Irvine SpectrumDear Marriott Customer Service Team,I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at the Marriott Irvine Spectrum from Sunday, November 3, to Monday, November 4, in Room 513. Unfortunately, this stay turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had at a hotel.We had specifically chosen this location the night before a critical immigration interview early the next morning. Since our home is in Granada Hills, we made this reservation to ensure a restful night and avoid a stressful early-morning commute. The proximity of the hotel to our interview location—less than a 10-minute drive—was a primary reason for our choice.However, our stay was anything but restful. Around 10 p.m., a loud altercation erupted in the room next to ours, disturbing our entire family. I contacted reception, and security was dispatched. Unfortunately, the disruptive noise and inappropriate language resumed shortly thereafter, causing significant stress and discomfort for our family. After a second call, security intervened again, and it was only around 11:15 p.m. that the noise subsided. By then, my wife had developed a severe headache, and she couldn’t sleep for the remainder of the night.Around 11:30 p.m., the hotel staff reached out to offer a room change. However, given that we had two exhausted children with us (ages 6 and 17), moving rooms at that hour was impractical. As a result, our entire family had a disrupted and sleepless night, which affected my wife’s focus during her interview.Despite explaining this experience to hotel management, we were only offered a nominal Marriott Bonvoy reward, which felt inadequate for the severe disruption and the negative impact on our interview. Given that we paid $350 for a restful stay that we did not receive, I am respectfully requesting a full refund for this reservation.
