Liked: Everything about the Marmalade is perfect. I highly recommend to anyone traveling the Isle of Skye and staying in Portree you must stay in this boutique hotel. The room, the food and the staff are exceptional. My friend and I spent 3 weeks traveling Scotland and stayed in five different hotels - and some were "high end" - but none came close to the Marmalade - it was by far our favorite.

Liked: The food was wonderful and the staff were very nice and accomodating
Disliked: Our room didn’t have any view because the windows were on the ceiling. The room smelled musty.

Liked: Room felt luxurious, and the restaurant had a great vibe.

Excellent short break

Liked: Food was out of this world and the service was excellent.
Disliked: Room was a standard room and only had a small skylight. Not complaining, just for information if booking a similar room. I was a bit surprised at the 20% service charge for the meal. While I would have been happy to give a 20% tip I do think this needs to be at the customers discretion.
