Liked: A wonderfully elegant hotel in the centre of the old town. The room was comfortable and had everything that I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would come again.

Disliked: Reception at the first floor entry at ground, rather annoying when you’ve got luggage to carry up and down stairs

Generally the service is excellent...

Liked: The room comes with air-ventilator. We are very used to sleep in aircon room despite the climate in Europe, so definitely a plus point . Hotel is located at the old town so it’s very convenience, lot of restaurant and shops
Disliked: The lighting is a bit dim. The coffee is provided at the concierge, preferred to have it in the room.

NICE HOTEL, HIGH PRICES AND...

Liked: The Marktgasse is a nice hotel. It's small and it's located in the old town. Clean, modern, and with a good maintenance level.
Disliked: The price is really high compared to the overall experience. I didn't like at all this new trend of avoiding the frigobar presence inside the room. From a 4 star hotel I expect to have a frigobar with, at least, 4 bottle of water inside. I can't come to the lobby to take a bottle of water and pay it 5 CHF. They are saving a lot of money suggesting to use the tube water just because we are in Swiss and it's supposed to be good. I personally don't want to drink it because I only drink sparkling water. For 320 euro/night my expectation were different.
