Liked: Comfortable beds and bedding generally although one of the bottom sheets had little holes in it, right in the middle where you would lay. Shouldn’t have been used in my opinion.
Disliked: Considering this hotel was not in Colchester town I was surprised that the car park fee of £8 nightly was charged. We wanted to bring our dog too, but the extra charge of £40 for one night (over 50% of the room rate again) was ridiculous when she wasn’t going to have a bed and use any of the facilities. For these two reasons we wouldn’t return.

Liked: Lovely stay, nice and clean . I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. Decor is beautiful too.

An excellent hotel with reasonable...

Liked: The room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very good. The room was one of the best hotel rooms in which we have stayed, in terms of good storage, drawers, seating and sundries. We would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: The only downside was the £8 a day parking charge. We never think it is right to have to pay to park to stay at a hotel. However because the room rates are very reasonable one can except these parking charges as part of the overall room costs.

Liked: The hotel was lovely.. comfy bed and clean. Mushrooms and tomatoes at breakfast covered in garlic was very disappointing as I have an intolerance, lucky my partner spotted it. Why put garlic on breakfast items !!
