Excellent all around except THE...

Liked: Breakfast was great with a wide variety of food and an excellent dining room. The staff were friendly efficient and responsive.
Disliked: The elevator didn't work and we were on the third floor. Some guests were using canes and walkers that had to climb the stairs several times a day. I enquired if the hotel Manager/staff made any accommodations and they said not not even a reduced rate or discount on future stays.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: We asked to be served a beer in the afternoon after arrival but were told they have a convention and wouldn’t serve anyone else. Additionally, the elevator was not working (had not been for some weeks and repairs were not expected soon).

Really good

Liked: The young man working at reception on Sunday afternoon, September 1st, was fantastic and took care of everything perfectly. Fantastic customer service. Great start to our stay. Room was fine, though a little warm with it being so hot in Fulda and AC not standard. Views from balcony room were fantastic. Breakfast was truly spectacular. Food selection was impressive and the setting is absolutely top tier. Stunning.
Disliked: Member of staff using a leaf blower to wrangle a tiny amount of leaves before 9am was not the ideal way to be woken up.

Pleasant stay

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic- cannot be flawed and the location (outside) was very pleasant.I requested a room with a balcony which was great,The pool was a nice size and the sauna was lovely.
Disliked: I made the mistake of booking breakfast after checking in which cost me 23€. I found that too expensiveThere was no water in the spa area meaning I had to return to my room to get a drink. It would have been nicer if there had been a water dispenser located there.The snack machine in the foyer made the hotel look cheap

Liked: Hotel is a more modern construct attached to the palace's 300-year-old Orangerie, which was the breakfast room. Incredible. Breakfast selection was also superb. Cathedral and restaurants right nearby. Parking under the hotel. Helpful staff.
Disliked: No aircon, which would not normally be an issue, but weather was very hot. Still managed to get some breeze though as we had a balcony.
