Great location. Accommodation in need...

Liked: Location and reception/pool area. Staff were professional and friendly.. Rooms were not up to standard for price.
Disliked: Way overpriced for standard of accommodation. Rooms that we get are old and in need of upgrade. Disappointing for the cost.

Birthday weekend

Liked: The location is great. Lots of restaurants etc close by.
Disliked: Starting to look a little tired our lounge needed cleaning item’s starting to rust. Found dead bugs and just needed a more detailed clean. We had an issue the first night and check in details said call reception on phone in room dial 5 … there is no phone. Needs updating on information. Also the bar needs to be open longer .. the mantra is missing a major opportunity here:

Liked: Staff were friendly and courteous.
Disliked: The room was very small. At least it could have included a small sofa or a chair for seating. (I guess you will argue that we should have paid more for a better room but the room we had was reasonably expensive for what you got anyway.) The shower was terrible - barely a trickle of water. The TV did not work - how difficult is it to just turn on a TV and get all the free-to-air ordinary channels. What most people would expect without having to worry about internet connections, etc. I cannot understand why guests cannot receive free Wi-Fi in a resort such as this when so much is charged for a room. On our balcony (very small) all you could see was the tops of trees. Would not stay at Mantra again and would not recommend it.

Disliked: Mantra is in need of refurbishment. Carpets are tired and worn and no ice trays in apartment freezer. Water pressure in shower was nonexistent especially if you want to wash your hair.

Liked: Air conditioning worked. Pool was clean and inviting. Gardens are well kept.
Disliked: Hallways smelled very badly of urine, water damage and old age.Room itself needs a very deep clean. There was thick later of dust around the skirting boards. Power points aren't in ideal location.

Set yourself for holiday mode

Liked: The facilities were great. The rooms were clean & well maintained. The pools & spa were enjoyable and made us feel very settled into 'holiday mode'.
