Extremely welcoming and efficiently run...

Liked: I requested a bath in our bathroom additional the our they responded and confirmed the request.Upon arrival we were warmly greeted. The was so warm and inviting, it was spotlessly clean spacious and just what we needed after a long journey. We sleep so well and the next o ring our breakfast was delicious so well presented and cooked to perfection! A real secret escape in a beautiful building. We also enjoyed a game of snooker before we left on the full sized table!

Liked: It was a beautiful hotel and couldn’t fault it for what it was supposed to be ………. but on this trip a bit of a con
Disliked: The restaurant was shutThe bar was shutThe gym was shutThe roof was being noisey repaired.I booked a room in the hotel with booking.com but when I arrived I was told by reception that they would only allow me a room in the hotel if I paid a substantial upgrade fee. Showed them my booking.com receipt but they said that did not matter and they had no obligation to adhere to it.So they put me in a room outside the hotel with a dirty stained carpet, non functioning tv ….. it was simply a con job by the owners.The hotel itself was half empty
