Liked: Lovely place very friendly staff well worth staying one place I stay lot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....

Liked: The property was gorgeous, the staff was amazing and the location was perfect!
Disliked: We thought the hotel was wonderful and interesting, therfore we would have loved more information on the history at check in or a pamphlet we could have picked up

A bit disappointing

Liked: Been here before around 10 years ago , we liked that it was an old mansion loved the detail of the building.
Disliked: Our room was comfortable enough , but for the price we paid I feel was to much , the room requires some attention, paintwork chipping , carpet with quite a few stains, and carpet coming away from the grippers which you could see ,hairdryer you could only switch it on/off by the wall switch as the switch on the dryer was broken, shower screen requires a new seal as water comes out from the bottom onto the floor , water temperature in the sink either boiling or not hot enough , kettle on coffee/tea tray cord isnt long enough to reach the plug so you have to put it on the floor ( not ideal) , radiator in room very dusty and quite dirty not been cleaned in a while, its really a shame there were many things that needed attention as we looked forward to coming back but the price is to much for what you got and taking it is classed as 4star you expect a lot better. I was going to pass all these things onto reception on our departure but no-one was at the desk. If we were to come back, rooms would need upgrading and the issues sorted before we would consider staying again.
