Liked: Gorgeous building, the beds were awesome to look at and super comfy. Breakfast was fantastic. Bathroom could do with a bit of an update but overall a great place to stay.

Liked: Wow, what an experience! Just checked into your hotel — a number was left on desk for me to call which i did. A man appeared who smelled like he’d just come from a whisky tasting (a very long one), and casually mentioned the manager had vanished without notice, leaving him to run the show. He told me hiEverything was closed — not just the restaurant, but the bar too. Because who wants food or a drink at a hotel, right? The room? A masterpiece: broken bed base, no heating, peeling wallpaper, and a coffee table covered in mysterious stains (don’t worry, I’ve got photos).I booked this for my partner’s 40th — a big deal for us — and we ended up walking out and booking another hotel. Hugely disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it. sharing this lovely experience online so other fall into the same trap! We eventually ended up leaving the hotel and booking the station hotel who were amaizing

Liked: Excellent .Beautiful old mansion house Very peaceful location .Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Public areas Such as entrance hall ,lounge and dining room tastefully decorating in keeping with age of house .Very friendly staff.

Liked: Proximity to venue we were attending.Good Breakfast. Friendliness of staff.
Disliked: Lack of staff on arrival.Bar facility was pretty non-existent. Entrance could be a bit more appealing as building is lovely.Room was tired looking.Bath/shower tricky getting in/out ofHaving to ask about a bath mat at reception,surely that's a standard item in the bathroom. We are not sharing surely.
