A great place to stay. Clean; friendly and it has a 30's style which is fun.

Liked: Clean; friendly; great modern bathrooms for such an old hotel.
Disliked: Smelly in hallway. I think one of those fake smell things was plugged into the wall. I prefer fresh air.

Amazing Great Vale & Friendly...

Liked: Amazing and super friendly staff! Carole was especially helpful & answered all of our questions, gave us the history of the buildings, and even offered to take photos of my friend & I on our trip. The breakfast was insane - so good (&free!) and fresh.Location is very near a couple metro stations & bus stops.Highly highly recommend this for a stay in Montreal.

Delightful hotel I would highly...

Liked: The breakfast was lovely. The breakfast room was charming. The room was spacious and charming as well.
Disliked: One day we asked for Cleaning and extra towels they did not clean our room but did give us the towels. Then the next day we asked for Cleaning they did clean, but we did not get any new towels.

Cozy and accommodating.

Liked: EVERYTHING! The checkin process was wonderful. The room wasn't ready but they let us leave the bags and brought them to our room. The accommodations were great; I loved the space and it was warm and clean. The breakfast really did it...service was great and the food was wonderful. One of the staff members made sure that we got enough and even asked if we wanted to grab extras as they were putting things away (grab the lemon cake...it's DIVINE!). I would totally stay here again. Location-wise, it was excellent; super close to the closed food street, near some great restaurants, close enough to walk to the main sights and also far enough to be quiet.
Disliked: Nothing! I loved everything. Parking isn't available near the property but if you ask the front desk, they can give you great parking recommendations that are just a few minutes walk away.

Liked: This was my third stay. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is perfect.
