Great staff and amazing location...

Liked: Super friendly staff- everyone from valet to front desk to restaurants could not have been nicer!

Unacceptable construction noise all day.

Liked: We upgraded to a better room but no one told us there was ongoing construction. The noise during our stay was unbearable. We could not relax or work in the room. Although they eventually gave us compensation for the inconvenience they still charged us $42 a day resort charge. We had to leave the hotel due to the constant banging and drilling. If they disclosed this we would not have stayed there.

Disliked: The air conditioning was not functioning. The room was quite small. The breakfast buffet lacked variety, offering the same options daily. There was no spa or indoor swimming pool available. The hotel only had two bars and did not offer an on-site dining restaurant.

Exceptional

Liked: This property is located in what I feel is the most beautiful part of the San Diego Downtown area, it is adjacent to Seaport Village which made it very convenient to walk over in the morning for a coffee and to enjoy the views of the Bay. The entrance to this hotel was very spacious and grand, with the check in being a breeze. After I dropped off my luggage in the room we went back down stairs to the Lobby bar to have some drinks and grab a bite to eat. The bar was very nice and lively and had plenty of televisions to watch the game. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Downtown area.
