Liked: Quirky and very close to town centre
Disliked: Upgrade to “Cell” room but was basic and, of course, no view. Not sure if a non cell room may have been nicer if you’re not bothered about the novelty feel. Rooms seem to need some tlc and noise can be heard above.

Liked: Beautiful room, feels unique to stay in an old castle/prison, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We got a room upgrade on arrival.

Great character and location.

Liked: The location is great (Oxford is a walkable city - it’s probably the best way to get around and get a feel for the area). The hotel is itself an attraction and is very well appointed and maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: No negatives.

Liked: The staff were excellent and went above and beyond.Location was very handy, walking distance to train station, city centre and tourist sites.
Disliked: Price was a bit steep, especially the bar.Breakfast was a bit hit and miss.
