Perfect apart from the poltergeist

Liked: The room and location was fantastic
Disliked: The heating and plumbing throughout the walls made noises all night leading to a poor night's sleep (or you could believe it's the ghosts of the previous guests)

Liked: It’s a great experience to stay in a hotel that once was a prison. It’s like being part of history somehow. Besides, the facilities were pretty comfortable and the staff were absolutely lovely.

Great stay at Malmaison Oxford

Liked: That it was a former prison ….liked the quirkiness of it all . The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and we liked the artwork . Staff very helpful . Nice and warm inside in this cold weather! Great location. Good we got 25% on the castle/prison tour.
Disliked: Nothing !

Great location and smart surroundings...

Liked: Great location and unique hotel. We also got great service on arrival
Disliked: We needed some assistance with the room (key for adjoining door and non feather bedding) and it was hours before this was resolved which slightly let down the great arrival experience

Excellent hotel. Lovely meal and...

Liked: Had evening meal and it was excellent and reasonably priced.
Disliked: No openable windows, noisy heating in room. There was no warning that the main road was closed for works and no alternate directions which led to almost an hour of looking for another way to the hotel.
