On the banks of the River Tyne tucked away in Newcastle's vibrant Quayside this stunning 4-star boutique hotel offers stylish rooms superb views a gym and free WiFi throughout. The Malmaison Newcastle is housed in a beautifully converted river-front warehouse just yards from the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Decorated in deep purples and plush velvets it has a dramatic eye-catching modern style. Many of the boutique-style rooms have fantastic views of the River Tyne. Each has mood lighting and a satellite flat-screen Freeview TV. The private bathrooms have power showers and luxury toiletries. With breathtaking views of the river the bar offers fine wines and fabulous cocktails while the brasserie serves delicious cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. Just to let you know over the next few weeks we are having some external decorating work done to the building to keep us looking fine on the Tyne.

Liked: Staff, food, decor, rooms, location - all good. Especially liked the service provided by reception staff who gave us early access to our room (8am) after a very early flight for us. Made a big difference to our stay. Thank you.

Liked: Parking was very reasonable and extended beyond checkout time, which allowed us to do more in Newcastle.
Disliked: The room seemed quite warm even with the windows open slightly and the aircon off
