On the banks of the River Tyne tucked away in Newcastle's vibrant Quayside this stunning 4-star boutique hotel offers stylish rooms superb views a gym and free WiFi throughout. The Malmaison Newcastle is housed in a beautifully converted river-front warehouse just yards from the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Decorated in deep purples and plush velvets it has a dramatic eye-catching modern style. Many of the boutique-style rooms have fantastic views of the River Tyne. Each has mood lighting and a satellite flat-screen Freeview TV. The private bathrooms have power showers and luxury toiletries. With breathtaking views of the river the bar offers fine wines and fabulous cocktails while the brasserie serves delicious cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. Just to let you know over the next few weeks we are having some external decorating work done to the building to keep us looking fine on the Tyne.

Great location: spacious room

Liked: The location is delightful. We had a room which looked over the river (we'd been upgraded!We did think this couldnt be a Standard Room) It was enormous and well appointed .
Disliked: No menus in the room (Guess everything is done by phone but we're old)

Liked: Breakfast really slow coming out - over 30 mins from orderingGreat location
Disliked: We had a newly refurbed room, but could see that the refurb was not great and would not kast

Liked: The staff were very helpful. They couldn't do enough for us.My only concern was that the room was very dark, poorly lit. But that was my personal preference.

Magnificent location on the Quayside....

Liked: Fantastic location on the Quayside, near to all the bars and restaurants.Great view of the Tune and walking bridge from our room.Great A la Carte cooked breakfast.
Disliked: We weren’t made aware of the Spa or breakfast times at check in
