This Hotel is very tired...

Liked: The original arrival and check in were good
Disliked: Firstly the lift didn’t work properly. Then the bathroom roof vents were filthy with my wife having called and asked before we arrived if the room could have a deep clean due to her dust allergies, and there was also dust and dirt in the corners of the room. We had dog food with us and the fridge in the room wasn’t cold enough, so we had to use the hotel fridge. 4 of our bathroom spot lights didn’t work so the bathroom was very dark. Breakfast was virtually inedible with the bacon so hard and crispy it was impossible to eat. I ordered fried eggs but was given poached ? I mentioned it to the receptionist who explained I needed to be more understanding as it was down to human error whch he deemed acceptable. We're booked in the Malmaison in Edinburgh in August but are having second thoughts now.

Friendly staff & a comfortable...

Liked: From the moment I walked in I found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely as they upgraded me to my original booking. Travelling on my own I felt totally comfortable and the food in the brasserie for dinner was exceptional. I recommend the boneless chicken. Would definitely stay again.
