Liked: Large, clean room which was ready when we arrived so we were able to check in early. Great position - near the railway, the Utilita Arena and the canal.

Staff very courteous; hotel was central to train station, city centre and to Birmingham Symphony Hall; would use again ; best wishes to all the staff .

Liked: Very pleasant staff. Room was fine for an overnight stay and I got it at an ok price. Bed was comfortable
Disliked: Hotel is looking very, very tired and desperately needs a refurb. Rooms are large but very dark and the "quirky" decor of hideous carpets and equally hideous, mismatching curtains is very over. Bathroom had mold on the sealant and ceiling, shower head needed a new washer. Very disappointing and not up to the rest of the chain. Only 1, very over-worked but efficient, barman on duty in the bar.
