Disappointing

Liked: I stayed here with my 12year old daughter on a shopping trip to Belfast thinking we wld go for something quirky but in comparison to other Malmaison hotels I've used eg Liverpool or other 4star hotels in Belfast this one felt a bit shabby & to be honest in need of some cleaning & tlc. The mattress in my bedroom had a big dip in the middle which left me with an aching back in the morn. I also felt the room wasn't cleaned very well & felt dated. I could see shower gel stains on the wall tiles in bathroom from previous users. I happened to move a footstool to get to the window & there were lots of crumbs under it. Floor above us was bit creaky so cld hear other guests walking around their room which was annoying when trying to sleep. Staff were friendly enough but wld not choose this hotel again.

Liked: Nothing, I thought that Malmaison was supposed to be s top hotel, turns out it’s a dump!
Disliked: First time I’ve ever went to a hotel and they didn’t sell draft beer on tap. Didn’t realise it was a pet friendly hotel, so that’s my fault…In my opinion no hotel should let a 6 foot dog lay in its bar stinking out the whole bar never mind stay in a room

Liked: Breakfast was fine but service at dinner was very poor and when asked for some things on menu they didn't have and when food came it was tastless so disappointed when reported it to reception and wee sent a email looking a response wee still waiting guy that was taking our orders either was asked to leave or he had walked out very poor

Location is everything

Liked: Check in and check out were seamless. Staff was friendly. Restaurants on site and parking garage right behing the building if you decide to rent a car.The location was the best you could ask for. All the best bars and restaurants were within a few minute walk.
Disliked: No body soap in the shower or never replaced upon cleaning service
