Could be a great hotel...

Liked: The hotel is at the very top end of Toulouse Street. It’s a great location with easy walking to Bourbon, Royal and really the whole French Quarter. Evening and night staff are friendly and engaging. Don’t expect your day staff to even look at you nor speak. The bar/bistro located in the hotel has some live music at times. However, they are only open certain hours. Drinks/Food here cost quite a bit more than just down the street at other hotels and bars. The hotel itself is in major need of maintenance. Every wall in our room had major dings and scratches in the walls. You don’t dare walk on the carpet in the room barefoot, major stains and spills, feels like it’s never been cleaned. The hall way carpets are all just the same, except where there have been leaks from the roof or plumbing, those areas are a total tripping hazard of mismatched carpet. Bathrooms are quite small, only room for 1 for sure. The drains in the tub and sink are both very slow to drain, and when you shower, you’ll actually be taking a bath as it took forever for the water to drain. I’m pretty sure the in-room filter for the HVAC system has not been changed since this hotels last remodel. The phone will ring, and when you pick it up, it’s a conversation going on between other rooms or the front desk. My honest opinion is this was once a very nice place. Currently it has no strong leadership and it shows.

Liked: Always enjoy the quaint Maison Dupuy! Clean, nice staff, near Bourbon Street but far enough away!

Easy access to Bourbon Street...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, the room we booked was not available, did not match what was promised, the room initially given was worn, threadbare carpet and in poor condition. I complained and we ended up in a far better room, the staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is a little worn, the food was very good.

Nice location but pool was...

Liked: great location and friendly staff. The room was small but comfortable. We were assured multiple times that the pool was heated and it was not.

Great place great price!

Liked: It was a ten minute walk to Jackson square, Cafe du monde and less than 5 mins walking to shops and all the excitement. I loved that we were nestled away a couple blocks and got quiet in the evenings.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Location, staff were the best. We enjoyed the balcony.
