Disgusting Stay

Liked: The staff at front desk understood our complaints
Disliked: The room had a Terrible smell the moment we opened the door. We opened the window, but it was too cold. We arrived late and just wanted to go to bed. The next morning we opened our curtains to reveal a view of the roof of another part of the building...nothing but ugly walls and concrete. The room Never should have been used for guests...only for storage. When we arrived home our clothes still smelled. We want a discount at the very least, but the manager refuses to respond to our many voicemails which is So unprofessional. Apparently he's never there or his staff is told to tell people he isn't. We would like him to spend just One night in that room. We will be posting this to save others from having the same disgusting experience. Shame on Mainstay.

Fine option in the Fitchburg...

Liked: The staff was very helpful; they allowed me a complimentary late check out on my last day. They also tried to help lower the noise from the room above me. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was standard; coffee was above average.
Disliked: The soundproofing between floors isn't great. My last two nights, I had trouble sleeping because of music and loud footsteps in the room above. The management did request the guests to lower the volume, which helped for a while. I just had bad luck, but ask for a top floor room, if you can.
