Not a standard hotel, charm...

Liked: Cant beat the location. Charming hotel. We got upgraded to spacious and nice looking room with an Auping bed and rainshower

Liked: The maintained integrity of the historical building, the decor, the staff’s courtesy, friendliness and help (including carrying luggage upstairs), the central location, super comfortable bed and room, great bathroom.
Disliked: There was nothing I did not like.

Beautiful rooms

Liked: The room we were in was beautiful, The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bedroom was the typical old Dutch style, with lots of exposed beams and different levels. The bathroom was super modern with a large bath and shower. The property is perfect for couples, there are a couple of narrow staircases to climb, so if you have mobility issues, this wouldn't be the right property for you. The location is absolutely perfect. I found the room to be clean though if you do require cleaning or towels etc during your stay you do need to ask. This is a boutique hotel, there is no one at reception in the evening or night.
Disliked: I wish the bar downstairs had been open while we were there! I think it was called the Red Room, it was stunning!

Disliked: a little dusty, one of the garbage cans was not emptied from the previous guest... I get the feeling this is a low touch arrangement at the moment, there was some construction downstairsthe shower is positioned in such a way that water goes EVERYWHERE on the bathroom floor

Liked: 16th Century place. With lots of features. It was clean Room comfortable Bathroom toilet modern and good. Looked over the historical street. Close to the center of Haarlem. The Owner was lovely and Helpful. He made a good breakfast.
Disliked: There are a lot of step stairs to climb up in between floors and room we were in. If your fit you will be ok. All port of the original property.

Liked: Rooms were great but reception/ staircase/ hallway was like it was in the middle of a renovation, a bit less clean and chaotic.But the rooms where really great, clean, new and I had a good night sleep :)
Disliked: Everything except the rooms :)
