Fun stay
Liked: We have been before but this time we stayed as a birthday treat for our daughter and we loved the gardens, the gift shop and the rooms.
Disliked: We couldn’t get a vegan sweet birthday treat from the bakery. Not many vegan options but n the menu so we had to dine elsewhere.

Liked: The room had a musky smell, ants in the room, and a pillow was stained and cracked sink. Beautiful grounds, but Room not worth the price.

Liked: The Madonna inn is always a wonderful stay. Sitting on a hill watching the rainy day pass across the bright green fields was the highlight of my trip.
Disliked: They took out my favorite mirror at the check in office! ;-(

Disliked: I reserved the Cayucos Queen room through Booking.com, where the photos accurately represented the room I intended to book. After confirming my reservation, I was notified that a third-party service would send the confirmation. Initially, I thought this detail was minor, but my experience upon arrival changed my perspective. When I collected my room keys, I discovered that the room I was assigned did not match what I had originally booked. When I brought this issue to the attention of the front desk, I was told that third-party bookings often showcase images of various rooms rather than the specific one requested, despite my reservation being made directly through Booking.com. This explanation was frustrating, and the staff offered no solutions, leading to my overcharging for a different, lesser room with one queen bed instead of the Cayucos Queen with 2 Queen beds that I had reserved.In contrast, I must commend the staff at the restaurants and bars, who provided exceptional service throughout my stay.
