Disappointing- was looking forward to...

Liked: LocationLooked lovely and welcoming decorated for Christmas Bar area was comfortable and food good
Disliked: Arrived after 5pm on the coldest day - snowy with very low temperatures….. my room was freezing with both windows wide open!! I was able to adjust the heating but it only stayed on whilst I was in the room so when going for food the temperature dropped again Poor Wi-Fi and signal in hotel room - unable to make telephone calls or connect to internet to work made this stay frustrating and disappointing 😕

Disliked: breakfast - poorly organsied - no staff - coffee awful and ran out of food by 0945 on a Sunday - one room had a cracked sink - cracked in multiple places

Travel a lot for work...

Liked: Staff helpful, room was clean, check-in smooth, pool and spa good, food tasty.
Disliked: Haven’t stayed here for almost 2 years, disappointed by the hidden extras, prices were excessive. Expensive increased £8 room service tray charge, extra payment for basic breakfast options in the dining hall, (£5 for Avocado on toast, or hollandaise dishes), plus extra £4 for latte or cappuccino is disgusting value, after paying £24 for breakfast in first place. Only two mushrooms and tiny amount of beans looked embarrassing on the plate, when that’s all the hot food ordered. Only 1 staff on duty the morning after a busy golf day and wedding day before, leaving a lot of grumpy men complaining to each other, and she did a good job considering, but not fair on her. No hair conditioner in the showers. No water in the room. Check-out process was not smooth, they lost my pre-payment authorisation, so wasted 20 mins getting it sorted. Very disappointed.
