Not what I expected

Liked: The location was good. Rooms nice and clean. Breakfast very nice.
Disliked: Spa facilities were not good. Time slots not given so very busy, no deck chairs left when we arrived. Thermal suite was closed which we wasn’t made aware of. The sauna wasn’t very hot.

Disappointing stay

Liked: Location was great, breakfast room was lovely
Disliked: Spa and sauna facilities were appalling. Pool was freezing, steam room was cold. No ice in the ice bath. I booked this for my girlfriend as her Christmas present and despite raising with the hotel, a resolution was not achieved.

Was good overall

Liked: Food was great, room was good,
Disliked: Room 203 There was a foul sewer smell coming up through the drains possible pipe seal on shower tray or sink. Coffee machine in room wouldn't work proper

Enjoyed our stay despite the...

Liked: Location! In heart of Bowness.Beautiful room overlooking lake. Breakfast good .
Disliked: It was cold in our room and swimming pool was freezing. We asked for heater but none was provided. Building is looking tired and in need of improvement. Very limited toiletries- literally just a bottle of body wash. Very expensive bar prices.
