Liked: Staff were extremely kind and friendly.Breakfast was good, and the dinner we had at the Linden Tree Pub was nice.The setting was lovely, and convenient for trips out.Access to the pool was great - really enjoyed that.
Disliked: The dressing gowns were shabby. The replacement, when we asked to exchange a gown with a ripped sleeve, turned out also to have a ripped sleeve. The other dressing gown had a torn hem. We were told they were waiting for new robes.Not feeling pampered there!

Nice location to visit but...

Liked: The over all fabric was tired and this asset would certainly benefit from investment and moderate upgradeGrade property loved the history. Looks like it’s being run down!
Disliked: Smell coming of sink room felt musty glazing not easy to set open

Lovely stay, comfortable large bed...

Liked: Lovely peaceful location, lovely hotel with spacious room, lovely lounge area and dog friendly. Peaceful.
Disliked: Nothing really other than bathroom could have done with an upgrade or makeover as it was a little tired

Lovely house and grounds but...

Liked: The property inside is nice, not the best layout but everything was clean and tidy and stunning period pieces , staff where lovely and really helpful
Disliked: The prices of food and drinks onsite, in the actual house everything is bottles or cans but is priced at similar levels to places in London but nothing unique on offer £17 for a bottle of code and single gin and lemonade seems a bit much.The spa facilities are nice but very small, anymore than 10 people in and around pool and it’s busy and cramped, not much walk way between the pool and loungers and floor is slippy, changing rooms where ok at best with nothing wrong but not great to look at.The food was the biggest let down, booked a table in the onsite pub and can safely say I have had nicer food at weatherspoons, massively overpriced and over winter a reduced menu (doesn’t match menu online) food was over salty and not worth the money

Gluten free breakfast delight

Liked: Beautiful hotel with great amenities.Excellent choice for gluten free at breakfast.Staff knowledgeable and helpful with GF requirements.

XMas party stay

Liked: The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel location is lovely.
Disliked: We were there for a XMas party night. The food at the party wasn't great unfortunately. The roast potatoes weren't browned or crispy and no green veg served with either main meal. The bedrooms could do with a makeover. The shower was unreliable with fluctuating temperature and there were stains on the skirting board.
