Liked: Loved the old building . Breakfast good . Staff were friendly
Disliked: Main thing - it was a cold day and there was no heating on in our room when we checked in . We checked in at 4 pm . It took an hour before I took my coat off ! Dinner - Did not like my main course ( pea pasta- not accurately described on the menu ) - but it was changed with no fuss . Bar - could be cosier I think - did not inspire me to stay long . Maybe some candles ?

Very comfortable hotel

Liked: A real struggle having no lift but staff helped me .The pool was distinctly chilly and no supervision so kids bombing constantly.The room however was wonderful as were the staff .I can overlook some shabby areas like the bathroom door and window frames because the bed was comfortable and there were chairs to relax in .Would I return, absolutely yes .

Liked: Staff were very pleasant and helpful Dinner was lovely. Room was very spacious
Disliked: Ou room was big and well appointed but was cold One radiator was not working. We found a plug in heater in the wardrobe which helped. Corridors and public areas were lovely and warm by comparisonWater pressure in.the shower was very low

Little gem find

Liked: Very friendly and helpful, we had our small dog with us who was very welcome , did not mention a £20 charge for him when booking , but that's fine as the room was very spacious for him and the grounds were enough for a little run fir him in the morning
Disliked: We didn't mind sitting in the bar fir breakfast with having the dog, but had to ask for things and got no fresh juice , but breakfast was good what we had , there are never enough condiments in room and no pen with paper, just little things , nothing major , we could have used resteraunt, but didn't want to leave dog in room .
