Children loved the soft play...

Liked: Convenient location, the activity centre and the swimming pool
Disliked: - Outdated, dark and dusty room, we had to ask for additional lamp because it was too dark in the room but they never gave us one. - activity center close too early (6pm) on weekdays even during school holiday.- They had a family fun event on friday & saturday night during our stay, but unfortunately we missed it because they only put it on a small printed paper on the table near reception and reception didnt tell us anything about it when checked in, we only realize it when we checked out. They should have at least put a bigger banner or reception should inform us. - some of activity centre area were not open.

Disappointing

Liked: Great location and plenty of options to keep the children occupied.
Disliked: The food in the aspects restaurant was so overpriced and not worth the money. Very basic fish and chips with less than 10 chunky chips. The staff were also not very welcoming. Breakfast every morning was like warm and bread/bagels were stale along with the cheese and meat selection. Room was dirty. There was faeces on the towel, mould round the bathroom, horrible urine smell coming from toilet, sink plug was rotten smelling. Bedding ripped. The facilities were also not clean, particularly the swimming pool. Just not up to standard overall for a 4 star. 2 or 3 star at best.

Good

Liked: Great facilities, good location, staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was clean and there’s daily room service. Breakfast was good, apart from the coffee.
Disliked: Family room had a large bed but the duvet was for a double bed which is not great for 2 people. We ended up using a sleeping bag we had in the car. It was also quite noisy at night, air conditioning units outside were super noisy. Which is fine if you can wear ear plugs.

Wouldn't return

Liked: The pool was fun for kids and the location was good to explore aviemore
Disliked: Toilet was dirty upon arrival, tried to call reception several times to get it resolved but no answer. Some staff were pleasant and friendly and others just plain ignored customers, stood waiting at the bar and staff just walking by and saying nothing. I appreciate staff can be busy but to have no acknowledgement when customers have been standing waiting is poor service and management should address this through training. Service in restaurants is also slow and not very personable.The breakfast was pretty bad, fine if you're starving and not in a rush for your tea/coffee or toast.

Pleasant

Lovely location but disappointed by...

Liked: Location is perfect, right in the centre of Aviemore.
Disliked: Breakfast ran out of items and had to wait a long time for refill. Food quality was fair.

Great Stay

Liked: Good size rooms, clean and helpful staff.
Disliked: Unfortunately there were issues with the pool heating while we were there, and the children were unable to stay in the pool very long as it was too cold.
