Cold, and not very good...

Liked: Bed was very comfortable and lounge area was lovely too
Disliked: The room was very cold and it took ages for the very small heater to warm it up. A property of this standard should have central heating, especially in. the Highlands where it is cold. Room 212 is directly above a very noisy piano (presumably in the bar) and we had to ask for it to be turned off at 10.30pm. Thankfully we were moved the next day.

Luxury with no hot water...

Liked: Beautiful surroundings, comfy bed.Service and meal in the evening was very nice.
Disliked: We had no hot water, I had to have a cold shower in January!!! After my experience my husband didn’t bother showering. No real response from staff about it, I found that disappointing.

4 star on a good...

Liked: The car park spaces are huge - not packed in like sardines which is great when getting bags etc from the car. The location is very nice - felt like a country hotel.The evening restaurant server was a very friendly guy - he went out of his way to look after us. (sorry we didn't catch his name)
Disliked: The wine list was ridiculously expensive for the quality of wine provided. The food was average at best - the restaurant was not busy at all - so I'm unsure why the quality was not up to standard. It was clean and tidy but lacked atmosphere. My partner ordered a sirloin steak but was served a poor cut of rib eye instead. At breakfast it was disappointing not to see square sausage on the menu of a Scottish hotel - no beans on a full cooked breakfast - really?The 'deluxe' room was equivalent of a standard room anywhere else with just a slightly larger bed, The bed was comfy though!
