Nice hotel, spoilt by the...

Liked: Really nice hotel in a lovely location. Great large carpark and hotel very nice. Check in and check out staff were very nice.
Disliked: I was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely room however the bathroom was poor The shower cubical was tiny and it took a very long time for the hot water to come through the pipes so the second evening I had to rum the shower first for a while waiting of the water.The breakfast was very small, only one sausage, one bacon etc, this is not a full breakfast. The hot breakfast was very nice but small.The lady who served me looked like she really did not want to be there and was very moody. I had to ask for toast which I feel should have been brought with the breakfast. Second morning I got room service and again the breakfast was very small portions.Had room service on the second evening which was the fish and chips. The fish was bland and full of water so I felt that was a waste. To make matters worse, they charge £8.00 tray charge? Normally only £5.00 in other hotels.I was in room 205 and it was noisy from the occupants in the room above.

Disliked: Room was lovely but it took more than a day to get the rooms changed to Twin, as requested.Service for dinner on the first night was incredibly slow, and the vegan menu advertised on the website didn't actually exist

Liked: Our bedroom was spacious and well appointed, as was the bathroom which had a stand-alone shower and a bath. Breakfast was very good, we have stayed at many hotels in Inverness recently and let down in this area by most of them with overcrowded breakfast dining rooms and poor quality food. This was on another level, food made to order and obviously decent quality ingredients and someone that knew what they were doing in the kitchen. We will definitely stay here next time!
Disliked: The only negative thing we found was that there was very little cold water pressure in the bathroom, to the point where having a shower was almost not possible – obviously something broken. We only stayed 1 night, and arrived fairly late so not a huge deal, but mentioned to staff on our way out.

Liked: Plentiful free parking, very impressive reception and lounge area with big comfy sofas. Good location less than a mile from the A9, had a super deluxe room with a very big bathroom, the shower heat adjustment was a bit dodgy offering only a constant hot temperature, room was warm with two single chairs and large TV
Disliked: Arrived and waited over 5 minutes before receptionist arrived, I had to call the hotel to raise attention but Catriona was very welcoming, warm and efficient, appeared the hotel was lacking staff.
