Great hotel and value for...

Liked: Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly.Facilities were good. Only fownside was the musty smell in the corridor going to reception. A humidifier would sort that. But overall the hotel is good and central

We are extremely dissatisfied and...

Liked: The property was very well situated and the facilities were good, however, extremely limited as the hotel was very quiet.
Disliked: We booked for half board, however, we were extremely disappointed to note that this did not cover the children (our 3 daughters). Staff pointed us to the terms and conditions which we were able to find eventually, however, this was not at all clear to us on booking (via booking.com) where we selected the half board option and paid in full. This appears disingenuous to call this half board. What we had instead was B and B effectively with a voucher towards an evening meal (£25 per adult). We had to pay for all of our children’s meals. Put bluntly this is not half board and it is wrong to market it as such.

Disliked: Paying DBB should include all of the family not just adults, was not worth paying extra for children dinner would of been cheaper to eat out in Aviemore. Was not well advertised on booking.com only had this information when booking dinner

Ok, but definitely won’t be...

Liked: They should explain when booking that the MacDonald Reaort is made up of over 3 separate hotels in the same site. Took us 3rd time lucky to check in at the correct one.
Disliked: Some of the staff didn’t have a clue unfortunately. The confusion which happened when we ordered room service was just crazy. Also one plug socket at headboard and it was for round chargers only, so we couldn’t even use it
