Great location and nice hotel

Liked: Location and swimming pool great. Breakfast good, as was informal bar area in evening and friendly bar staff.
Disliked: We weren't aware the rooms were pet friendly. We wouldn't have chosen this due to a pet allergy. After some discussion we were able to change room however allergy still affected in public areas. Hotel was clean though. No issues there. Appreciate pet friendly rooms just needs to be more explicit particularly for anyone with a pet hair allergy. This was only real issue for us. Our room was small but that was due to sofa bed being down in room but otherwise no issues with cleanliness and comfort etc.

Liked: I liked the hotel location and the service, everything I needed was nearby, even the train station. breakfast was delicious. the staff was friendly, the snowy atmosphere was fabulous. we want to visit this place again.
Disliked: but clean ... there was a lot of other people's hair in my bed under the sheet. in the bathroom, there was pubic-like hair in the corners. I asked to clean my room, the next day a worker came, but abslutely did not fix my problems, but it was like adding more hair. I have OCD and I was mentally affected by the dirty room.

Liked: Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent both days.Entertainment (osprey arena) on 3rd Jan was great
Disliked: One way road going uphill on exit was frozen solid with compacted ice on arrival making navigation very difficult. To be fair this was attended to the next day. Check in was a bit of a shambles. Approx 10-12 families queuing from 3:30pm onwards, only 1 member of staff on desk, some rooms not ready and lift out of order causing an unnecessary delay. Unsure what bars were open, not very well advertised.Empty biscuit packet in the bedside drawer

Liked: Location is excellent and kids enjoyed the pool.
Disliked: Rooms need updated they are rather drab and not the cleanest, check in was a farce with a queue was out the door and one staff member on reception. Lots of folk being told after 4pm rooms still weren't ready. Breakfast was OK.
