Liked: I paid on booking.com but when I arrived they said I had to pay again in cash. After receiving payment twice I was told I would have to wait a couple days for booking.com to send my money back (never happened). When I called they told me they couldn't send my refund because they can't find the card I used on file. The room smelled like an ashtray and the bathroom was dirty. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Good

Liked: Old hotel, chips paint, wet spots on ceiling, didn't see bugs...n warm water took forever to get warm ...besides that I slept good.

Good and bad points

Liked: The Bad:Shower handle fell off on me, and the water flow was extremely low, hard to rinse soap and shampoo off.Also, never saw any staff, my entire stay. my room key was taped to the office/bar back door when I arrived Saturday night around 1000 PM, and when I went to check out Sunday Morning about 930 AM, there was no one around at all to turn my key in to, I walked through the whole bar, restaurant, and kitchen area and couldn't find anyone, so I hung it on their board in the back where the other keys were hanging. (Room 20).Hope there was not any issues with my payment.The Good:The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and linens were nice and clean and fresh.Coffee in the morning was excellent.It is a very nice place overall, would definitely stay there again.

Another Great Stay

Liked: This is the 3rd time I've stayed at Macaluso's at the Lantetn Lodge. It's an affordable stay, with pleasant staff. Its just outside of Jim Thorpe, PA but is an easy drive into town.
Disliked: The heat in the room is a bit tough to regulate. During my stay it was damp and chilly so I bumped the heat up and ended up being too warm during the night.
