good location for visiting Fareham

Liked: location was brilliant for us to revisit Fareham where we lived for 10 years before emigrating to New Zealand. car park was handy but quite full with mainly diners as opposed to staying guests. was handy for us as catering for our friend's funeral wake and gave us all the information we needed to attend. some staff need more training. I am meat and fish intolerant and had advised but nobody let us know which foods were where, we had to ask and then wait for them to check and come back with the information, all my food could have been eaten by someone else.
Disliked: sadly no yoghurt on second day, porridge had bits still not cooked.next doors bathroom behind our bed. midnight both nights, shower on like a thunder clap. lots of bangs and I was concerned someone may have fallen and got hurt.bed, duvet just tucked in at base but only came within a foot of the pillows. untucked it and pulled up to pillows leaving a small gap at foot of bed, we are tall and need the full length plus something to hang over the base, queried it but was advised it is a standard double, just not like the ones we and our friends own. bottom sheet not tucked in at the base or one side, maybe that was a small one too. not a good nights sleep, either night.entrance from the car park quite dangerous as a high step through the french door and even more dangerous coming the other way a real trip hazard, could do with some warning and Hi Vis hazard strips.

Lovely staff, great location unfortunately...

Liked: It was clean, staff were friendly, ample parking.
Disliked: The bed was harder than the floor. Whilst we did attend towards the end of breakfast, the beans had clearly been reheated a number of times and very dry, the sausages didn’t appear to contain good quality meat and lack of options.

Generally a good hotel but...

Liked: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, Good breakfast
Disliked: I’ve given this otherwise good hotel only a ‘fair’ rating because in my bedroom there was a continual background sound coming from either an air extractor in the bathroom or even something outside but very near to the bedroom window. It took me ages to fall asleep. I’ve stayed at this hotel before without any problem so this really was an irritation and a disappointment.
