A very relaxing break in...

Liked: It’s a fabulous hotel in a magnificent setting, beautiful gardens. The spa was lovely and dinner was also quite nice
Disliked: We stayed in a room in the old building. On booking.com it was advertised as having a big bed which it definitely was not. That’s very disappointing since I upgraded to this room. Also it was very warm and there wasn’t air conditioning.

Liked: This is our second time visiting Lyrath Estate! We love it so much, staff, food, Manor House rooms was where we stayed each time, Cannot fault it at all!!
Disliked: One thing I will say this time around we visited Tuppers bar just before we left the hotel, we received a dirty glass and when we asked to change it, the waiter brought back the same glass but with more ice in it.We then received a dirty (dried dirt/food) on our steak knife so we had to also get that changed.. but the food was amazing!

great hotel, hightly recommend spa...

Liked: The hotel is one of my favourites in Ireland, twelve of us were celebrating my husbands 50th bday, The rooms were fab, we had dinner in the Grill bar the food was exceptional. Menu had lots of choice, Concierge very good.
Disliked: One persons main meal (ribs) were cold , he sent them back and they took over 15 mins to return at which point we had all finished eating, he refused the meal as it took so long, No manager returned to apologise,

Restful stay near kilkenny

Liked: Lovely grounds with nice walk. Very good breakfast with à la carte menu. Would be nice f didn’t have to pay extra for speciality coffee. Comfortable bed with excellent blackout blinds. Quiet, sound proofed. Fridge, coffee machine, desk and table in room. Bath in room was wide and luxurious. Walk in shower, good power. Lovely toiletries. Good steakhouse type restaurant with nice cocktails. Near kilkenny city.
Disliked: Lighting in the room could be better, lacks powerful main light. Nothing in the fridge. Nice leisure centre, slightly dated but clean, no sauna in it. Extra cost to thermal suite that doesn’t seem to offer much extra. The main atrium and bar were a bit draughty. Would like a cosy sitting room to chill in. Bar menu could have more casual options. Would like access to kettle, filtered water for making tea and also ice.
