Basic but clean

Awful experience
Liked: Very spacious and pleasant in the foyer, staff were helpful and cocktail bar staff were excellent. Z restaurant was good for breakfast and had a reasonable choice of snacks through the day but we were there for 7 nights and the same menu every night for dinner was very unsatisfying. The staff in there were mostly very helpful and pleasant. Did very good cocktails in the afternoon and nice to sit outside in the lovely weather. Rooms spacious large spacious bed with very clean linen. Nice spacious bathroom with large bath, shower good also. Veranda ok size and good view of park.
Disliked: We are English speaking and no English Tv available as a tech fault. Reported to desk and tech Guy fixed only for it to go off again within the hour. As heading out for the evening didn’t complain again the first day. Was out of the room all day the second day so didn’t bother to complain as we’re back late. On the 3rd day I washed my hair only to find out the hairdryer didn’t work! I have very thick hair and had to go out for the day with wet hair not styled. Complained to front desk who offered an upgrade which we didn’t see until we came back that evening. Note to say we would get an upgrade to an Executive Room, and if when we have our bags ready we can move, we thought ok that should make up for the problems we had, good. We had breakfast the next morning and headed to the desk after breakfast to be told ‘your room won’t be ready until after 12.00 and get bags ready and we would be moved if I call at that time, I was getting fed up at this stage but went and got bags ready sat in room for 1.5 hours until 12.00 rang the desk and they said they would call us back! Sat for another 15 mins and no one called so at this stage we had wasted 1 day of our holiday waiting on a room couldn’t go anywhere. Went for a walk for half hour and went back to desk to be told they didn’t know if the room was ready. This took us to 2.00 ish then we were given a room which was the same as the room we were in but 3 floors up! In my opinion not an Executive Suite! Have to say we were very disappointed at the room change and not being able to go anywhere that day. But to top it off the following day we went out to sit in the veranda which was full of toe nail clippings which were not mine! These were here for 2 days which means the room was not properly cleaned for the days we were there. I had to go and look for a house keeper to vacuum up the nails. Disgusting! This made me feel very uncomfortable as far as hygiene was concerned.
