Liked: Lovely location. Restaurant and bar area very pleasant. Staff polite and friendly. Excellent bathroom facilities, shower very powerful.
Disliked: Room and bed both very small. Unfortunately didn’t sleep well at all.

Would not revisit

Liked: the bed was comfy
Disliked: A large generator outside my window - making loud noises most of the night. unwelcoming drab room. The only modern thing was the bathroom mirror !

Excellent place to stay if...

Liked: Room was a bit on the small size but was nice and clean and was well prepared. Location was excellent for ourselves with great walks around a country setting.Interior and exterior of the hotel was exactly what we were looking for, understated but well presented.
Disliked: Due to a function on the Saturday night it was a bit noisy although this did not go on for too long. There seemed to be a vehicle (motorbike) that was driving about in the middle of the night and this was a disturbance for our stay, especially as our room was to the front of the hotel.

Liked: Good location, comfortable, noise free and at a reasonable price
Disliked: Lack of bar food/snacks. Arrived quite late (9 ish) after a very long drive to be told that the kitchen was closed and it was crisps or nuts. Would expect at least a sandwich option at that time in the evening, especially as there is no-where nearby to go to as an alternative
