Liked: Absolutely lovely stay! Sheila and Guy, the owners were delightful, very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! The house itself is beautiful and traditional, but very spacious. There is a lovely dining area and sitting area both with fireplaces. Our room was big and comfortable; the bathroom had a bathtub and a high-tech shower. Breakfast was included and it was absolutely delicious! Really enjoyed our stayed and would happily go back! Highly recommend!

Liked: The 16th century house is beautifully restored, and our room was spacious with a very up to date shower and bathroom. But what sets this place apart is the attentive hospitality of hosts Sheila and Guy.
Disliked: The reading lights above the bed were somewhat dim. That's a very small complaint but the biggest we can come up with.

Liked: We had a lovely time staying here! A fascinating and beautiful historic building where we were truly spoilt by the owners, Guy and Shirley, who provided fabulous breakfasts and freshly baked cakes every day, and were super generous with their knowledge about the local area and the estate itself. We stayed in Foxwhelp, which was very comfortable and had a lovely big bathroom with modern facilities. It was the perfect place to relax after canoeing, hiking etc. Highly recommend.
