Beautiful setting but do not...

Liked: The property is stunning upon arrival, the setting is breathtaking and you feel like you have stepped back in time, the two doormen ( sorry cant remember names) were so lovely and knowledgeable about the area and places to visit and greeted you every time with a smile or story, They made our stay all the better,
Disliked: While our stay was very enjoyable, our room - located in the courtyard ( while lovely to look at) was the noisiest room we have ever stayed in, from the doors banging when other guests were coming in and out of the building to the creaking stairs and floorboards to the strange banging noise on the roof every morning at 6am ( likes old water pipes coming on) - so what we expected to be a restful few days to recharge, resulted in a severe lack of sleep. - we did mention this to staff and they did offer to move us, but was last night so we stayed were we where, they did give complimentary wine to compensate

Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was best thing about stay. Way too crowded. Fridge in room did not work. I needed it for medication. I was told when checking I should of called for a fridge. Why would I do that when there was a fridge in room
Disliked: You over booked this was supposed to be a highlight of our once in a lifetime stay and it was no better than the Holiday Inn Express.
