Liked: Comfortable and clean. Good location. The staff was lovely.
Disliked: Lighting and temperature controls were almost down to waist level and hard to figure out. There was no breakfast buffet - just sit down service which was friendly, but slow. Food just ok.

Poor value for money and...
Liked: The hotel is in central location. It was well decorated for Christmas. The bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The hotel downgraded us without telling us or compensating us for the room downgrade. We booked a 20sq. m. room which had nice pictures with high ceiling and a fireplace, but we got a small room with low ceiling and no fireplace on the top floor without the lift access. When we said that the room was not the one we booked, they receptionist said that they gave us the room that was allocated to us without explaining why we were allocated a different room from the one we booked. We came for the wedding, and we were the parents of the bride, and we were not in a position to go into lengthy and unpleasant arguments on the wedding night of our daughter. We ended up going up and down the staircase on high heels with flowers, wedding gifts, lots of other stuff, and a dog. Moreover, I had a leg injury a couple of weeks before, and the lack of lift was unhelpful. The hotel also added £40 gratuity charge when we checked in without our knowledge. The hotel does not deserve one Michelin Key. Overall, we did not feel welcomed in that hotel in spite of spending enormous amount of money on the room and the wedding dinner itself. We were also disappointed with the main dish at the wedding dinner - the mushroom risotto, which was inedible, and we felt embraced in front of more than 50 guests. We were also not expecting to have broken zippers on pillow cases - we find this unacceptable for a 5* hotel. The latter was just a minor point of the overall a very disappointing stay.

Amazing service in a stunning,...
Liked: The staff made my girlfriend feel amazing on her 40th birthday. Every staff member from the moment we arrived until we left made us feel welcomed and looked after. This type of service is rare and it made the stay even better than imagined.
Disliked: That we couldn’t have stayed longer due to other plans!

wrongful booking
Liked: location close to my daughter's flat and covent garden but too noisy

Liked: Location was perfect for exploring London. Just two minutes walk from Holborn tube station.
Disliked: One downside of the location, is that it’s on a main road and there’s no parking. The hotel offered me valet parking at £90 per day. I don’t think so!
