Formerly a 17th-century rectory Lords of the Manor is set in 8 acres of secluded gardens and parkland. With 4 AA Red Stars it is one of the top 200 hotels in the country and offers delicious award-winning food. Each bedroom is individually designed with elegant furnishings. Some rooms have views of the parkland and pond or the walled gardens and Upper Slaughter Hill. Every room has a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. Lords of the Manor has been awarded three AA Rosettes for its fine food and offers a choice of two dining styles. Atrium at Lords of the Manor is a fine dining restaurant. Here Head Chef Charles Smith showcases his culinary skills with a signature tasting menu. The second restaurant The Dining Room is for guests wishing to a choose from à la carte menu but in a less formal dining environment. With a peaceful Cotswold location the hotel is surrounded by pretty villages. Longborough with its opera house is a 15-minute drive away while Oxford can be reached in an hour by car.

Exceptional

Liked: Just an amazing experience, beginning to end. Really top service set within a lovely place. Would be going back in Summer just to take advantage of the hotel grounds which seemed to be just as lovely as the interior!

Very enjoyable, wpuld defiantly stay...

Liked: It was in an amazing setting and the facilities were nothing short of luxurious. Staff were friendly and eager to please. The food was amazing.
Disliked: I was disappointed with the view from our room. There were two windows and neither had a view. There were a couple of small issues which had if not been four star I would have overlooked. Both bath robes had broken belt loops so every time you took it off the belts dropped to the floor.

A great place for a...

Liked: We had a lovely time and sadly only one night. Staff were exceptionally good and welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfortable. While it was by the road, there was no noise at all. The weather was cold, but the room warm. How it would be in the summer I can't tell. Grounds beautiful even in December. Restaurant was fine.
Disliked: Can't think of anything apart from the price which sadly is the norm for all hotels now.
